Роден в Букурещ в семейство на артисти. Завършва средно образование в класа по пиано на Мария Палади и висше при Габриел Амираш в Националния университет по музика в Букурещ. Носител е на първи награди от национални конкурси по пиано, лауреат е на международните конкурси „Френска гилдия на артистите - солисти“ в Париж /1979/ и „Джордже Енеску“ /1991/ в Букурещ. Отличен е и с Наградата на колегията на музикалните критици в Румъния/1981/ и Наградата на Фондация „Дину Липати” – Букурещ /1992/.
Има над 1000 сценични изяви в рецитали, камерни концерти и като солист на оркестри. Обширният му репертоар, включва премиерни и по – рядко изпълнявани произведения. Изпълнява интегрално клавирните концерти и сонатите за пиано и цигулка на Бетовен. Концертира в Европа и е бил солист на оркестри от Великобритания, Австрия, Швейцария, Гърция, Република Молдова и България.
Участва в международните фестивали „Джордже Енеску” / 8 издания/, ”Дину Липати” /3 издания/, Академия Сигишоара /10 издания/, както и тези в Безансон, Сан Жозе, Грац, Кишинев и Братислава. Има реализирани записи за Радио Румъния и „Електрекорд“, както и компактдискове, издадени в Гърция и Румъния. Участва в програми на ВВС и телевизии от Франция и САЩ, в директни предавания на EBU и радио „Барток“ – Будапеща. Редактира издания на творби от Дину Липати и Раду Палади за Музикалното издателство ГрафоАрт. Професор е по пиано в Националния университет по музика в Букурещ и ръководител на катедрите по камерна музика и пиано от 1990 г.. Член - основател е на Румънското общество „Моцарт“. През 2005 г. защитава докторска степен по музика с тема върху клавирното творчество на Дину Липати. От 2011 г. е член на Съвета на директорите към Съюза на музикантите - изпълнители в Румъния, като през 2017 е избран за вицепредседател. Бил е член на журитата на международните конкурси „Зайлер“ и „Лист-Барток“ в София.

Viniciu Moroianu

Viniciu Moroianu was born in Bucharest into an artistic family. He studied piano with Martha Palade and after that in Gabriel Amiraș’s class at the National Music University in Bucharest. First-Prize winner of a number of national piano competitions, laureate of the international competitions Guild solistes française des Artistes – Paris (1979) and George Enescu – Bucharest (1991). He received the Music Critics Association Prize in Romania in 1981 and Dinu Lipatti Foundation Prize in 1992.
Moroianu has over 1,000 stage appearances including recitals, chamber concerts and concerts with orchestras. His extensive repertoire consists of first performances as well as more rarely played music peices. He performs integrally Beethoven’s piano concertos and sonatas for piano and violin. He has held concerts in Europe and appeared as a soloist with orchestras from Great Britain, Austria, Switzerland, Greece, the Republic of Moldova and Bulgaria.
Viniciu Moroianu has taken part in the international competitions George Enescu (8 editions), Dinu Lipatti (3 editions), Academia Sighisoara (10 editions) as well as in the competitions in Besançon, San José, Graz, Chișinău and Bratislava. He has recorded for Radio România and Electrecord and has CDs released in Greece and Romania. He took part in programmes of the BBC and of French and American TVs and also played in live concerts for the European Broadcasting Union and Bartók Radio – Budapest. He edited the first editions of several works by Dinu Lipatti and Radu Paladi for Grafoart Music Publishing House.
Currently Viniciu Moroianu is a Piano Professor at the National Music University in Bucharest. Since 1990 he has also been the Head of Chamber Music and Piano Departments there. He is a founding member of Romanian Mozart Society. In 2005 he earned a Ph.D. degree in Music with his thesis on Dinu Lipatti’s solo piano works.
Since 2011 Moroianu has been a member of the Board of Directors at the Union of Performing Musicians in Romania and in 2017 he became its Vice President. He was a juror at Seiler and Liszt-Bartók International Piano Competitions in Sofia.
