Мария Дуканова
Завършва СМУ „Проф. Веселин Стоянов“ - Русе и БДК – София със специалност Музикознание. Работи като преподавател по история на музиката в НУИ „Проф. Веселин Стоянов“, а от 1996 г е негов директор. Автор е на множество публикации в местни и национални медии, както и на концертните програми на МФ „Мартенски музикални дни“. Създател на уникалния за света и страната Русенски фестивален оркестър, който събира всяка година талантливи български музиканти от цял свят, възпитаници на НУИ „Проф. Веселин Стоянов“ – Русе. От 1997 година е председател на организационния комитет на Международния конкурс „Франц Шуберт“. Била е член на жури на национални и международни конкурси в България и Украйна. Отличена е с Грамота и Плакет от Министерство на културата, Специална награда от СБМТД за принос към българската култура, Награда „Русе” за цялостен принос и дългогодишна дейност в областта на изкуството и културата, Почетно отличие „Неофит Рилски“ на МОН и други.
Maria Dukanova
Maria Dukanova graduated from Prof. Vesselin Stoyanov Secondary School of Music in Rousse and from the Bulgarian State Conservatoire in Sofia where she majored in Musicology. She teaches Music History at Prof. Vesselin Stoyanov National School of Arts and since 1996 has held the position of its headmistress. She has had a number of research articles published in local and national journals and writes the concert programmes for the March Music Days International Festival. She is the founder of the unique on both national and international scales Rousse Festival Orchestra which annually gathers talented Bulgarian musicians – alumni of Prof. Vesselin Stoyanov National School of Arts, from all over the world. Maria Dukanova has been the Chairman of the Franz Schubert International Competition Organising Committee since 1997. She has also been a juror of a number of national and international competitions in Bulgaria and Ukraine. She has been awarded a Certificate of Merit and Plaque by the Ministry of Culture, Special Award for Contribution to Bulgarian Culture by the Union of Bulgarian Musicians and Dancers, Rousse Award for an overall contribution and long active role in the field of art and culture, Neofit Rilski Honorary Certificate by the Ministry of Education and Science et. al.
